We have used it a few times. Those times were very helpful to us. It took us to the places we wanted to go. We use the bluetooth portion of this item also. We find it very helpful talking while we are in the vehicle. We downloaded the new 2009 map the give you for free, also. It took a couple hours, but we got it.
