The TomTom One XL GPS navigator really does its manufacturer proud! Thanks to this nifty GPs navigator with a large 4.3″ navigation screen, you can make your trip safer, more relaxed and more fun. Most GPs’ only come with a 3.5″ screen, which makes them a little more difficult to use. The TomTom One XL really does make traveling so much easier with its LCD screen, as you can see the navigational instructions better.

This handy little device also calculates the quickest and shortest routes and toll-free routes, and also keeps you up to date, thanks to the optional real-time traffic information kit. Compatible with Bluetooth, the TomTom One XL will even enable you to make phone calls in complete safety. Furthermore, this navigator pinpoints thousands of points of interests such as hotels, restaurants, petrol stations or museums. With the TomTom One XL, you never have to go off course again!

The touch screen is easy to use, even the most obscure streets are identified and the directive voice gives plenty of notice prior to lane changes and turns. There are also little gas station icons on the street level map view.

During high travel times or construction surprises, the unit is quick to give an alternate route and though it doesn’t state the street names, the names are written at the bottom of the unit for reference.

I like that it is slim and light-weight. I have packed it in my camelback for quick reference while biking, help located the nearest road while hiking a new place or to find my hotel after walking a new city…very helpful!
